The Carat S underground tank has many seals that effectively prevent soil from entering the tank. This means that no rainwater can enter the tank. The gaskets shall be located at the junction of the container and its dome flange and the container dome flange and the telescopic hatch. All the pipes in the delivery set are connected by means of a container coupling flange and the joints are usually sealed by means of five neck gaskets.

The Carat S underground container has a unique profile that ensures high strength and security. Thanks to the additional ribs, the Carat S underground container does not deform significantly, even under exceptionally heavy load conditions. Therefore, the Carat S underground storage tank is suitable for installation in pavement areas, in principle up to loads of 3.5 tonnes, is resistant to groundwater up to the centre of the tank and can be covered with a soil layer up to 1.2 metres thick. In addition, the external H-section can be used as a handle when moving the container and as a stepladder when installing the container dome.
Numerous ribs give the bottom of the Carat S underground container exceptional strength. This allows the Carat S to be installed in conditions where the groundwater reaches the centre of the tank. In addition, the strong base means that the container is highly resistant to possible damage that may occur during transport to the installation site. The exceptional rigidity of the tank bottom has already been verified during the development phase, both by numerous computer modelling tests and by TÜV and EC accreditation.
The Carat S tank is suitable for wastewater collection, rainwater collection and also for drinking water. In the latter case, it is necessary to replace the hatch with a hatch with a special seal and a filter to prevent dust from entering the tank. The Carat S isalso allowed tobe installed in densely populated areas or in areas where soil infiltration is not allowed.

Tests carried out by the manufacturer have proven that the groundwater level can reach up to the edge of the upper cylinder.
