A suction tunnel can be used to infiltrate treated wastewater into the soil if there is no suitable water body or ditch nearby to discharge the fully treated wastewater. All that is needed is soil that allows infiltration and a sufficient height of at least 80 centimetres above groundwater level.
The intake tunnel is durable. The soil on top of this can be can carry loads of up to 3.5 tonnes per square metre, so they can also be installed under driveways.
Effectiveand affordable
A suction tunnel can hold three times more wastewater than a normal gravel-filled ditch. One module (11kg) replaces approximately 800 kilograms of gravel or 36 metres of drainage pipe. By opting for a suction tunnel, you save on excavation and gravel costs and get a cheap and effectivemeans of infiltrating treated wastewater into the soil.
The suction tunnel modules are installed in a single row. They are easy to adapt to different conditions and desired capacities. Installation of the modules is simple, quick and adaptable. The suction tunnel module weighs just 11 kg, so no special tools are needed for installation. The suction tunnel modules are easy to connect in a row and fasten with end plates.
Imbtunnel Twin 600L
The Graf Twin 600 consists of two 300-litre impregnation tunnels connected in parallel. The tunnels are connected to each other with special clip-fasteners. This method can double the volume of a conventional immersion tunnel while retaining all the advantages of a 300-litre tunnel. The advantages of the suction tunnel are light weight, easy installation, convenient transport.
